Alkalinizing effect on urine Helps to produce more alkaline urine, counteracting the acidifying effects of chronic kidney disease.

Indications This diet is indicated for cats with azotemic chronic kidney disease (IRIS stage 2–4). It is also suitable for cats with renal insufficiency that are prone to calcium oxalate stones, and it helps prevent recurrence of urate and cystine uroliths.

Nutritional composition
The diet contains 26% protein, 17% fat, and 4.6% fiber. The mineral balance includes 0.62% calcium, 0.44% phosphorus, 0.9% potassium, 0.4% sodium, 0.05% magnesium, 0.79% chloride, and 0.5% sulfur. It provides a total of 800 IU vitamin D and 0.88% hydroxyproline. The essential fatty acid content is 3.14%, with EPA and DHA together at 0.41%. Urine alkalinization is supported by potassium citrate and calcium carbonate.
